November Update
Heavenhi everyone! We're here with another update on recent developments at Hiranyagarbha Yuga Ashram. We have many small and medium accomplishments to share, but the most exciting update of all is that we have welcomed the Carl family into our midst. The Carls were looking for a place to stay and it has been a perfect fit. Pictured are Chris, Ruby, Callum, Opie, and Evie. We have enjoyed many dinners and days of karma yoga with them, as well as Callum's birthday, a month ago.
Our autumn push included many priorities, and the most important goal of all was getting Saucha and Gudu's house ready enough for them to move in. They moved in about two weeks ago, and are Loving it. The ground floor of the house is mostly finished and liveable, yet there are still lots of small tasks that they need to accomplish, at which they are chipping away.
Saucha also graduated from Jnanda's college of soul evolution, and earned the title of Yogi. We held a ceremony for him to celebrate this.
Last weekend we held our first of two tree weekends that will be occurring this fall. For the first one, we mulched about 120 trees with burlap sacks and wood chips. We had 13 people all working on that one task that day. It feels great to have everyone working on one thing, and to accomplish so much in such a short space of time. We are also glad to have aided the growth of some of our strongest trees.
We have also built a second composting toilet bathroom, near the showers and the Ajna (green) cabin, and a bigger and better shed behind the Ajna cabin for our firewood. We also have given a proper roof to our pergola, out of wallaba shingles. It is looking amazing, as the centerpiece that it is to our southern civilization zone.
Finally, we are closing in on a big refinancing of the Ashram property, which will give us more money with which to create more developments. The first priority is a proper laundry facility.
