SEPTEMBER UPDATE

Our Autumn season is kicking off nicely! Our seasonal volunteers have departed along with the Charlottesville crew who continue to return often and help out. We have the same six people living at the ashram as last spring along with Jnanda, who makes us seven.

Our two school teachers, Bhati and Vishada, have gone back to work and Gudu has begun the final semester of her nursing program. This means that work around the ashram is happening less frequently. However, we are still making sure that a lot is getting done during our 'Autumn Push.' Jnanda and some of the master level students met yesterday to prioritize these items.

Finishing Saucha and Gudu's house continues to be our top priority. Both of them, along with Devaaya and Adhii, have been taking time to focus on getting it done. Tomorrow Sama and Bhati will be wheat and chaffing the ashram's nursery— taking out trees that are not needed and making plans for the saplings that we want to keep. In the next four weeks we will also be doing some landscaping around the green 'Ajna' cabin, and making its firewood storage area larger and better.

In the last month we have acquired chickens who are doing great and bringing enjoyable cock-a-doodle-doos to the land. We have also completely reorganized the tool shed and added real floors to both our micro cottages.

Having Jnanda here in the physical means that the vibration of the ashram is being raised. Jnanda is aiding the residents in understanding how we can do things in new and better ways and move into phase two of our ashram's development.
