Winter Update
Heavenhi All! I'm here to update you all on what's been going on at Hiranyagarbha Yuga Ashram halfway through the winter. We have some important updates to our organization and plans as well as lots of things that have been happening on the ground.
Much of our recent development involves Sama Atmashakti Ananda, our president, pictured below. Sama is permanently moving to the Ashram in about a week, and plans to dedicate a lot more time to securing more funding for us through grants and donations. He also brought all of us together to contribute to our first annual report, published around the end of the year. It details our mission, history, and future plans in a concise 17 page document. If you would like to read it, the link is here:

There are big plans for 2026! Sama will make the 8th person living full-time at the Ashram. However, by the end of 2026 we plan to have 13 or 14 people living here. This will bring us to the end of Stage 1 of our development. We will need more places for these people to stay, so we are constructing 2 500-square foot cabins, as well as a communal laundry facility.
HYA's mission continues to be to create an environment where soul evolution and a love based way of life are taught and embodied. This means taking people in, regardless of starting point, and aiding them in growth and healing so they may move out of survival/suffering, and into the blossoming and thriving that is each person’s potential.
In terms of on the ground developments, in mid-December we held a second fall tree planing, which was smaller in attendance. We planted around 30 trees. Twenty Yellowbud Hickories and ten Shellbark Hickories. They will be big producers of nuts for us in the future. This was our final big weekend of work for the year, and we have since hunkered down for the winter.
In addition to a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have been experiencing a thorough Snowmageddon, along with everyone else. As I write this, it's currently heavily snowing for perhaps the 5th or 6th time in two weeks. We have experienced this every winter in which there have been full-time residents, of which this is the 5th. Each year, we have a little more facilities and amenities to make us more comfortable. We are grateful for the opportunity to relate head-on with the elements and for the whittling of the ego that it brings.
Finally, we offer a thorough congratulations to Jitvara Asmad Kartavya Ananda, A.K.A. Devan Eilbert for obtaining his spiritual name on January 15, right around his birthday. We held a ceremony for him up in Jnanda's house. His name means:
Jitvara – Overcoming
Asmad – Ego
Kartavya – Duty
Ananda - Bliss
