Mid Summer 2024
Heavenhi everyone! The HYA summer is more than halfway over and it has been filled with lots of Divine growth, accomplishments, and community bonding.
This summer 10 new volunteers have stayed at the ashram and together we have gained Divine perspectives by doing the starter course and living and working in our karma yoga community.
We have officially started the straw bale process for Saucha and Gudu’s house! It will be the first straw bale house in Franklin County and the first family home on our ashram. Jnanda’s house is also being completed as the building team works on the last finishing touches.
Our garden is yielding summer vegetables and we have built a deer fence to protect our plants. Our garden manager, Anusha, is doing a great job as she steps into her new role.
The 300 trees we planted in the silvopasture are growing strong and we are currently planning for our next fall tree planting event.
A few weeks ago we hosted a talent show where everyone displayed their unique abilities. We had dances, comedy sketches, a bullwhip display, feats of strength, quadrobics, a poetry recital, and several beautiful singing performances. We look forward to many more joy filled nights of community activities.
